Trell Kimmons of Coldwater, a former Hinds Community College men's track standout, competed in the 2010 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Indoor World Championships in Doha, Qatar over the weekend, and came away with an outstanding showing.

Chris Wallace and Mark Wilkerson, both Hinds Community College men's basketball team members of Jackson, have been selected to play in the 2010 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-Star game.

The Hinds softball team has moved into conference play on its 2010 schedule, and so far, the Lady Eagles have fared well. Hinds split a doubleheader with both Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Jones Junior College over the weekend to move to 2-2 in the South division.

The Hinds Community College Eagles Men's Golf Team has improved under new head coach Ernie Rogers in 2010. In two recent Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) tournaments Rogers saw his sophomore-heavy roster place seven times in the top 50.

Kiana McCarty of Brandon, a sophomore center on the Hinds Community College women's basketball team, has been selected to represent Hinds in the 2010 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-Star game.
