Men’s basketball has perfect week; improves to 3-1

The Hinds Bulldogs were a perfect two-for-two on the week, and due to the stellar play, improved their overall record to 3-1 on the 2009-2010 season.

The Bulldogs defeated Northwest Community College, 86-84, on Thursday night in Utica. Hinds also defeated East Miss. Community College, 79-74, in overtime on Monday night in Scooba.

On Thursday night, the Bulldogs were led by Chris Wallace of Jackson and Keith Williams of Edwards. The sophomore guard duo both knocked down 16 points to help Hinds pull out a slim victory.

Wallace also led the way in Monday’s overtime victory against East Miss., as his 20 points led the way. Mark Wilkerson of Jackson, a sophomore guard, also pitched in 15 points.

Hinds will hit the hardwood again on Monday evening in Utica, as the Bulldogs welcome Delgado Community College (La.) to town for an 8 p.m. matchup.
