The Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs are still looking to get off the schneid in South division play, as the Lady Bulldogs dropped two more South division games over the past week.
The Lady Bulldogs won their South division opener over Miss. Gulf Coast Community College in early December, but have lost five straight division games since. The latest loss came on Monday night, as the Southwest Community College Lady Bears defeated Hinds, 71-64.
The loss masked a huge game for Lilly Porter of Port Gibson, a freshman guard. She led all scorers on Monday night with 32 points.
The Lady Bulldogs were also set to play a make-up game with Holmes Community College on Saturday, Jan. 23, but the non-division contest was canceled. The original game date was set for January 7, but was postponed due to wintery conditions in the Metro area.
On Thursday, Jan. 21, Hinds traveled to Wesson to take on Co-Lin Community College, and the Lady Bulldogs left with a sour taste in their mouths, dropping a 66-50 contest with the Lady Wolves.
Porter once again led all scorers with 20 points.
Hinds will now travel to Perkinston to take on the Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs on Thursday night. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
