The Lady Bulldogs basketball team had a tough week, dropping both contests again North division teams. Hinds lost to Northwest Community College, 86-76, on Thursday night, while falling to East Miss. Community College, 85-53, on Monday evening.

Kiana McCarty, a sophomore center, continued her hot start on Thursday evening, as she led all scorers with 24 points. Lashondra Dunson of Jackson, a freshman guard, also had a nice night, as she finished with 15 points.

Hinds had a tough time finding the back of the net in Monday’s contest against East Miss., as the Lady Bulldogs did not have a single double-digit scorer on the night.

Lilly Porter of Port Gibson, a freshman guard, finished the game with nine points to lead the Hinds offense.

Delgado Community College (La.) will be the next opponent for the Lady Bulldogs, as the two teams will face off on Monday evening. Game time is set for 6 p.m. in Utica.
