The Lady Bulldogs of Hinds improved to 1-1 on Thursday night in Utica, defeating Holmes Community College, 72-63. The win came in the home opener for Hinds.

The Lady Bulldogs fell 88-40 on Tuesday night in Moorhead at the hands of Miss. Delta Community College.

Kiana McCarty of Brandon had a monster night for Hinds, as she finished with 23 points to lead all scorers. McCarty also stars in women’s track for Hinds, as she won a national championship last season in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) high jump event.

Krystal Johnson of Jackson also chipped in nine points to help lead Hinds.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Scooba on Monday night to take on East Miss. Community College. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
