Becca Steen and Melanie Webb, both of Brandon, were recently named to the 2009 All-Region XXIII team for women’s soccer.

Steen, a freshman forward, was the top scorer for the Lady Eagles in her first season, totaling 36 points on the strength of 17 goals and two assists.

Webb, a freshman midfielder/forward, provided versatility in both spots for a Hinds team that won the North division and hosted the 2009 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) state tournament. Webb finished the season with 14 points on five goals and four assists.
