Quenton Jones, a center midfielder on the Forest Hill High School soccer team, has signed a scholarship to play men's soccer at Hinds Community College for the 2011 season.
Jones, who plays right back for the Mississippi Brilla club team, has spent most of his youth playing career playing on teams for the Central Jackson Soccer Organization or Mississippi Brilla, where he is currently playing for the Under-18 team.
“Quenton comes from an excellent soccer background and will bring a wealth of experience to our program,” said Hinds coach Doug Williams. “His speed and tenacity will allow him to immediately compete for a starting spot in our back line.”
Williams has had a familiarity with Jones for some time now.
“I have known Quenton's family for many years and am looking forward to him being a part of our program,” said Williams.
