CLINTON – Hinds Community College Track and Field had a successful showing at the Mississippi College season opener Saturday, March 6.
In their first outdoor meet of the season, Hinds boasted six first place finishes. The team had not competed in more than a month leading up to Saturday's impressive finishes.
"These were some great performances by a very young team," head coach
Reginald Dillon said. "This is the first time competing since January 31," Dillon said.

Top 10 Finishes - Men
- Keirston Paige came in a close second place to teammate, Powdar, in the men's 110-meter hurdles.
- Easter finished fifth in the men's long jump.
- D'Andre Anderson, Moore, Williams, and Hogans placed second in the men's 4x400 meter relay.
Top 10 Finishes - Women
- Ambus also grabbed second place in the women's 100-meter hurdles
- Lazericka Louis, Davenport, Eddings, and Morris placed second in the women's 4x400 meter relay.
The Hinds Track and Field squad travels to Hattiesburg on March 19 for the William Carey Outdoor at William Carey University.
