RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community College men's soccer team remained undefeated after a 1-0 win against #20 Pearl River Community College on Wednesday evening at Tom Shepherd Field. With the win, the Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season.
The Eagles and Wildcats battled to keep the ball early on, but as the match went on, it was Hinds who held the advantage. The Eagles' defense held strong for the first half of play as the score remained knotted up 0-0 at the halftime break.
Coming out of the half time break, the Eagles started pressing more and that lead to
Ashton Staton's first goal of the season in the 53
rd minute. The visitors had opportunities to score late, but the Eagles held strong to secure the third straight win and clean sheet.
Ashton Staton was the difference in the match scoring a goal off an assist from
Ryan McQueen. Goalkeeper

The Eagles will have a little break before returning to the field on Friday, September 8 against Itawamba Community College at Top Shepherd Field. Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM
