RAYMOND, Miss. – The No. 20-ranked Hinds Community College women's soccer team opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion Thursday, rolling past National Park College 14-0 at Tom Shepherd Field.
The Lady Eagles wasted little time finding their rhythm, scoring 11 goals in the opening half before scoring three additional goals in the final 25 minutes of action. Hinds' offensive attack was led by Belle Hartwell, who recorded a hat trick in the victory.
Molly Wain and Amelia Terry each added two goals, while Lily Upton, Made'Linh Robertson, Gemma Hewlett, Jordan Polk, Brooklyn Henley, Bree Saujon and Ella Rankin each found the back of the net once.
Hinds also received a strong performance in goal, as Anna-Lynn Bishop recorded six saves during 50 minutes of action and Clarie Garcia with two saves over the opening 20 minutes. HInds held National Park scoreless for the full 70 minutes.
Upton, Terry, Wain, Henley and Hartwell each contributed assists in the offensive outburst, while Tori Keen recorded two assists.
The victory gives Hinds a 1-0 start to the season and provides an early statement from the No. 20-ranked Lady Eagles as they begin their 2026 campaign.
Hinds will return to action on Tuesday, August 25th against Millsaps College at Tom Shepherd Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM
