The Hinds Community College Lady Eagles softball program opened a state of the art facility prior to the 2016 playing season.

The new complex will be broken into three separate phases, with the cost of the first phase is $1.265 million, which includes related site work and infrastructure, including the construction of a sprint turf infield playing surface.

The second and third phases will tentatively feature a press box, covered batting cages and lights, as well as a clubhouse complete with new coaches' offices.

Both the home and visiting teams will have dedicated turf bullpens, to go along with three combination turf bullpens/batting cages on the third base side, where the Lady Eagles will be housed. Each brick dugout will feature restrooms inside.

The project will also feature a dual entrance to the baseball and new softball parks, traffic signals at the intersection of Hinds Boulevard and East Main Street, new sidewalks leading to the refurbished crossing, new welcome signage and an array of new street lighting and landscaping.

The construction on the new softball facility is being done by Cooke Douglass Farr Lemons Architects + Engineers PA based out of Jackson.
