SACSCOC Eligibility


The Intercollegiate Athletic Program at Hinds Community College is consistent with the college mission by contributing to the educational development of individual 
student-athletes. Through training and competition, student-athletes gain discipline and opportunities for social, moral, and personal development. 
 

 

Hinds Community College maintains a highly successful athletic program. The Eagles, as the Raymond Campus athletic teams are known, compete in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) in football, baseball, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, golf, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's indoor track and field, women's indoor track and field, men's outdoor track and field, and women's outdoor track and fieldThe Bulldogs, compete in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference in men's basketball and women's basketball on the Utica CampusAthletic scholarships are available in those sports based on ability and need. These competitive teams have won state, regional, and national championships in recent years with many students receiving NJCAA All-American honors. 
 

Student-athletes who participate in intercollegiate athletics must comply with all existing rules and regulations of the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Therefore, all student-athletes must fulfill Hind's admission requirementsremain in good academic standing, and comply with signed athletic scholarship addendum, in order to establish and maintain eligibility to participate in intercollegiate athletics. It is the goal of the Hinds Community College Athletic Department to provide our student-athletes with the resources necessary to ensure their success while both at our institution and their future destination
