Brandon Mitchell

Brandon Mitchell was named head coach of the Hinds women’s soccer program in July, 2018. Since his arrival, Mitchell has compiled a 4-9 record, with a bid in to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Tournament in 2018, the first appearance for the program since 2015. 

Mitchell, a former Hinds CC and Mississippi College standout, joined the coaching staff of head men's soccer coach Doug Williams as an assistant in 2012. From 2012-2017 Mitchell helped lead the Eagles to five playoff appearances, including a MACJC State Championship in 2016, and two MACJC State Runners-up finishes in 2013 and 2015. 

Throughout his coaching tenure, Mitchell has coached 16 players who have moved on to four-year universities to continue their academic and soccer careers. He has also coached 15 MACJC All-State selections and 6 National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region selections.


Prior to the start of his coaching career, Mitchell was a two-year starter for the Eagles in 2007 and 2008. He earned MACJC All-State honoree as a freshman and NJCAA Region 23 All-Region honoree as a sophomore. ?Mitchell helped the Eagles win the MACJC State Championship and the NJCAA Region 23 Championship both years at Hinds.
 
Following his two years at Hinds, Mitchell continued his playing career at Mississippi College, where he started two years as a defender for the Choctaws. He earned All-American Southwest Conference (ASC) honors as a junior and as a senior.


A native of Clinton, MS, Mitchell graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History in 2012 and earned his Master of Science in Social Justice and Criminology in 2018 from Delta State University. Mitchell currently holds a National C license recognized by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). He received a Football Technique and Periodization License from the World Football Academy in 2016.

Mitchell currently resides in Raymond with his wife, Emily.
