"Jacki Millet enters her 12th season as the head coach for the men's and women's tennis teams at Hinds Community College. A highly respected figure in the tennis community, Coach Millet previously served as the MACCC Tennis Chairman and currently holds the position of NJCAA Vice-President for Women's Tennis.
During her tenure at Hinds, the men's team achieved a significant milestone by capturing both the MACCC Conference Championship and the Region XXIII Championship in 2019. Receiving the conference and regional Coach of the Year award. Coach Millet has a proven track record of developing successful players, with numerous athletes continuing their tennis careers at the next level and several pursuing careers in coaching.
Prior to her time at Hinds, Coach Millet established and led the tennis program at University Christian School (now Hartfield Academy) for seven seasons (2005-2012). Her coaching prowess guided the Flames to impressive heights, culminating in a Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) south state and state championship in 2011. This outstanding achievement earned her the prestigious MAIS 1A Coach of the Year award. Under her guidance, UCS consistently excelled, claiming district championships annually from 2007-2011. The team reached the pinnacle of South State success in 2010 and secured a runner-up finish in 2009.
Beyond tennis, Coach Millet contributed to the school's athletic success, playing a key role as head swim team coach in the 2007 and 2008 Mississippi Private School Association (MPSA) state championships in swimming.
Coach Millet's impact extends beyond the collegiate and high school levels. She spearheaded the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Quick Start tennis program at UCS, introducing the sport to young athletes in grades 1-6. Her dedication to developing young talent resulted in two of her players earning prestigious spots on the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) All-State and All-Star tournament teams. Before joining Hinds, Coach Millet also shared her expertise at Northwest Rankin High School.
A graduate of Pearl High School, she holds certifications from the USTA and Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Coach Millet is married to Mark, and they are blessed with two sons, Scott and Kevin, two amazing daughters-in-law, and a granddaughter. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and previously pursued a career as a graphic artist and photographer."
