Headshot of head Hinds cheer coach Karlee Nobles

Karlee Nobles

Mississippi native Karlee Nobles came to Hinds in March of 2022 and serves as the Raymond Cheer Coach.

Prior to Hinds, she spent four years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College working with their cheer squad. From 2016-2017, Nobles first served as the assistant cheerleading coach before being promoted to head coach shortly thereafter.

“I am extremely fortunate to be a part of this program,” Nobles said. “There is a great foundation for the cheer program at Hinds with an administration that 110 percent supports the program.”

Before her time at MGCCC, Nobles spent three years at Stone High School as an English teacher and head cheerleading coach for the Tomcats.

"We are thrilled to be welcoming Karlee on board as our new head cheer coach,” said Director of Athletics Nathan Werremeyer. “Karlee brings many years of great competition experience and has the connections within the state of Mississippi and with local high schools. Her dedication and passion for the sport of cheer will definitely take our cheer program to another level."

Nobles is no stranger to working in education. Prior to her time at Stone High School, she spent time as a physical education teacher and reading teacher from 2008 to 2012.

The Wiggins native wants to instill a sense of pride for Hinds CC.

“I can’t wait to become involved with the community and start recruiting athletes,” Nobles said. “I am most looking forward to instilling a sense of pride for our college. We will represent Hinds with integrity at all times.”

In her educational endeavors, Nobles holds a bachelor’s degree in sports administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Nobles has four children, Clay, Andrew, Allee Grace and Logan, along with two granddaughters, Baylor and Charlee.
