Bulldogs off to blazing start

The Bulldogs basketball team at Hinds Community College has gotten off to a perfect start after Monday night's thrilling 61-59 victory at home over Coahoma Community College.

Hinds is now 2-0 overall. The Bulldogs defeated Mississippi Delta Community College, 77-57, in the home and season lidlifter last Thursday evening.

Greg Lee (Jackson) was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs on Monday night, finishing with 12 points. The sophomore guard also had five assists and three rebounds on the night.
Josh Gaskin (Vicksburg) had 11 points, four rebounds and one steal to help lead the charge.

In Thursday night's blowout victory over Delta, the Bulldogs were led by four double digit scorers. Dominique Brown (Vicksburg) had 13 points, Matthew Hurn (Meridian) had 12, Kelvin Welch (Terry) had 11 and Gaskin finished with 10 points.

Hinds will now head north up I-55 for the first road game of the season, traveling to Northwest Community College on Thursday. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Senatobia.
