Bulldogs fall to JCJC in Ellisville on Monday

The Hinds Community College Bulldogs dropped a 64-54 decision at the hands of Jones County Junior College on Monday night in Ellisville.

The loss moved the Bulldogs overall record to 8-8 and 3-4 in the South division.

Kourey Davis (Vicksburg) had a big night in the loss, finishing with a double-double behind 11 points and 11 rebounds. He also dished out four assists.

Kaleb Williams (Edwards) led Hinds in scoring on Monday, pouring in 12 points and grabbing six rebounds. The sophomore guard also had an assist and a steal.

The Bulldogs lost the first of two consecutive South division games on Thursday, Jan. 22, when Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College defeated Hinds by the score of 65-58.

Davis led all scorers with 19 points, as well as pulling down seven rebounds and grabbing three steals versus MGCCC.

LaDarrius Drain (Yazoo City) continued his stellar play against Gulf Coast, scoring 13 points and finishing with a team high nine rebounds.

The Bulldogs travel to Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Thursday night looking to pick up a crucial South division win. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
