Bulldogs put a wrap on 2014-2015 season

FINAL STATISTICS

The Hinds Community College men's basketball team wrapped up the 2014-2015 season on Thursday night with a 91-81 loss to Jones County Junior College at J.D. Boyd Gym in Utica.

Kaleb Williams (Edwards) had a big night in his Hinds finale, leading the team in scoring with 20 points (including six three-pointers) and pulling down four rebounds, along with dishing out two assists and blocking two shots.

Clayton Tate (Terry) had 18 points, Edward Walker (Clinton) had 12 points and a team-high five rebounds and LaDarrius Drain (Yazoo City) had 10 points to assist the Hinds offense versus the Bobcats of Jones.

The Bulldogs (9-14) made the season's final trek to Perkinston on Monday to face Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and were hoping to pull off a much needed victory, but instead came away with a 64-56 loss.

Walker had another big night with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Victor Price (Florence) also poured in 14 points on the night.

The final statistical leaders in major categories are as follows:

Points – LaDarrius Drain (12.1 ppg)

Rebounds – LaDarrius Drain (6.5 rpg)

Assists – Kourey Davis (3.6 apg)

Steals – LaDarrius Drain (1.0 spg)

Blocked shots – Edward Walker (0.7 bpg)

Minutes – Kaleb Williams (33.0 mpg)
