Men's basketball drops contest to JCJC on Monday

The Hinds Community College Bulldogs were looking to pull out a much-needed South division victory on Monday night in Utica, but it wasn't meant to be, as Jones County Junior College came away with a 73-53 victory.

Tyler Jackson (Harvey, La.) led Hinds in the scoring department on Monday night versus JCJC, as he had nine points, as well as three assists.

The Bulldogs (4-12 overall and 1-6 in the South division) also fell in conference action on Thursday, Jan. 21, this time at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 75-67.

Trojuan White (Hazlehurst) was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs of Hinds, as he poured in 15 points to go along with four rebounds and two steals.

Ryyale Brown (Fayette) had a double-double versus Gulf Coast, scoring 13 points and pulling down a team-leading 10 rebounds in the narrow loss.

Hinds will now host Co-Lin Community College on Thursday night, with J.D. Boyd Gym in Utica being the site once again. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
