Bulldogs fall in final regular season home game

The Hinds Community College men's basketball team dropped an 84-80 decision to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Monday night in Utica in the final home game of the 2015-2016 season.

Bobby Powell (Jackson) led all Hinds scorers with 19 points, to go along with four rebounds and two assists.

Trojuan White (Hazlehurst) had 18 points, while David Robinson (Vicksburg) had 12 points and Tyler Jackson (Harvey, La.) chipped in with 11 points in the narrow defeat.

Hinds (7-15 overall and 4-9 in the South division) also had a slim home loss on Thursday, Feb. 11 at the hands of East Central Community College, 73-67.

Jackson led all Bulldog scorers with 18 points, while Robinson had 17 points and White had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Hinds will travel to Ellisville on Thursday night to take on Jones County Junior College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
