Box Score UTICA - The Hinds Community College Bulldogs men's basketball team upped its improving conference record to 2-2 Tuesday night with a 71-64 win over Itawamba Community College.
Sophomore forward
Jalen Myers, of Madison, Ala., led the Bulldogs in scoring with 20 points. He also added seven rebounds and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.
"This was a great team win tonight," head coach
Jonathan Nevol said. "I'm proud of the way these guys played tonight and proud of the way they competed. When we play with the same intensity and execution, we will be very difficult to beat. It's a quick week for us. Now we have to be ready to go on Thursday because we have a big challenge playing at Meridian. One game at a time."
Sophomore guard
Kyle Hayman, of Monroe, La., added 16 points and two steals to the winning effort.
The Bulldogs are back in action Thursday night in Meridian against the Meridian Community College Eagles. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
