RAYMOND – Hinds Community College softball has won three out of their last four games this past week, including a sweep over Meridian Community College Thursday and a split with Northwest Mississippi Community College Saturday.
Meridian series
The Lady Eagles got their fourth sweep of the season when they took game one 9-6 and game two 9-5 on the road at Meridian Thursday.
Leading the charge for Hinds at the plate in game one was
Hannah Tauzin (New Iberia, LA),
Kaitlyn Papizan (Madison) and
Sadie Parker (Flowood), who all recorded two hits in the contest. One of Papizan's hits was a homerun, her first in an Eagle uniform. Game one was in good hands after Hinds scored eight runs in the fifth inning.
Hinds was only held scoreless in the first inning of game two. The Lady Eagles used a four-run fourth inning to take game two and secure the sweep.

Emilea Roberts (Gloster), Papizan,
Macey Everett (Hernando), Parker,
Ashley Lightcap (Lafayette, LA),
Carli Estis (Olla, LA) and
Ava Aslam (Madison) all recorded a hit in game two.
Northwest series
The Lady Eagles took game one in the Saturday series at Northwest behind a complete game in the circle by
Kendall Calloway (Madison), who threw seven complete innings, giving up four hits and striking out two.
Seiferd, Papizan,
Ivy Davenport (Madison) and Lightcap all contributed a hit in the contest. Seiferd and Papizan both had one RBI to help secure the 2-1 victory over the Lady Rangers.

The Lady Eagles return to the diamond on Tuesday when they take on Pearl River Community College at home. First pitch for game one is set for 12 p.m.
