4/18/2022 11:00:00 AM

HAMMOND, LA – Hinds Community College continued their outdoor season Saturday when they competed at the Strawberry Relays at Southeastern Louisiana University. The Eagles boasted four first place finishes and 11 top-ten finishes at the meet.

Head coach Reginald Dillon was pleased with his team's performance.

"It was great to get some more athletes run open events," Dillon said. "Diandrenique Gaines, Jerricka Ambus, JodyAnn Dixon and the women's 4x100-meter relay were all event winners. Breanna Brown-Marshall, De'Aundre Ward and Aaron Fortenberry also had a solid day in the field events. Alfonso Hale, Lazericka Louis and Justyce Thomas all ran season best times. We need to get some things cleaned up on both the men's and women's short sprint relays this week. We will also focus on getting better in the 400-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash."
