Box Score UTICA, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team picked up a big conference win over the Holmes Community College Bulldogs inside J.D. Boyd Gymnasium last Thursday.
After a back and forth start of the game, Hinds held the 25-22 advantage going into the halftime break. The Bulldogs of Hinds Community College fought until the end of the game and picked up the 53-48 victory over Holmes CC.
Taylon Smith led the Bulldogs scoring 22 points in just 30 minutes of playing time. Additionally, he shot 8-18 (44.4 %) from the field and 6-14 (42.8%) from beyond the arc.
Isaac Ratliff posted his third straight double-double, scoring 12 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
Patrick McCraney tallied 11 points and shot 5-8 (62.5%) from the field in the contest.
"Great team win against Holmes", said Head Men's Basketball Coach Jonathan Nevol. "We came out and fought for 40 minutes. I can't be prouder of them. If we keep building on these two wins, we can finish off the season and position us for postseason play."

The Bulldogs will return to action on Tuesday, February 21 against Jones College at 6:00 p.m in Ellisville, before returning to Utica for Sophomore Day on Thursday, February 23. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
