Patrick McCraney Signs with the University of Louisiana Monroe

UTICA, Miss. – Patrick "PD" McCraney of the Hinds Community College Men's basketball team will move on to the next level to play for the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks.

McCraney was named to the All-Conference Second team as a freshman and averaged 21.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game for the Bulldogs. Additionally, he shot 49.4% from the field, 81.6% from the charity stripe, and posted a team-high 31 steals in 24 games played.

"I would like to thank Coach Jon for taking a shot on me. For that I am grateful and thankful to have played for you and Hinds Community College on the Utica Campus. Once a bulldog, always a bulldog," said Patrick McCraney.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Jonathan Nevol stated, "It's really special when one comes in put in all the hard work and see the reward of that work. PD came to Hinds to get to the next level; he was an All-Conference player on the court and Academic All-American on ff of the court. This opportunity for him shows that consistent hard work and dedication pays off. I know going to the next level, he will understand what hard work is and be ready day one."
