RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community Men's Soccer team picked up a 2-0 victory on Thursday knocking off Meridian at Top Shepherd Field in non-conference play.
The Eagles found the back of the net early on when
Luka Sari found Filip Ratković inside the box for his first goal of the season to give Hinds the 1-0 advantage. Less than 20 minutes later,
Luka Sari netted his first goal of the season as the Eagles gained the 2-0 lead going into the halftime break.
The second half was shortened due to darkness, but the Eagles secured the 2-0 clean sheet to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Luka Sari led the Eagles with one goal and one assist, while Filip Ratković added a goal of his own in the match.
Blake Primos registered his first assist of the season from Luka's goal. Goalkeeper
Younes Ezzaim totaled four saves in the win against Meridian.
The Eagles will return to the field on Wednesday, August 30 against Pearl River Community College at Top Shepherd Field at 5:00 PM.
