EVERGREEN, Ala. – The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team picked up a big road win against the Reid State Technical College Lions71-65 in Evergreen, AL on Saturday evening. With the win, the Bulldogs moves to 4-3 overall.
Hinds opening the scoring and led at the halftime break by a score of 37-23. The Lion of Reid State made the halftime time adjustments in the second half outscoring the bulldogs 42-34, but Hinds went on to seal the 71-65 victory to capture their fourth win of the season.
Jakobe led Hinds with a double-double (17 points and 10 rebounds), while
Marquis Williams finished the contest with 16 points and was one rebounds shy of a double-double in the game. Additionally, he was perfect at the charity stripe going 6-for-6.
Daveon Henry finished the contest with 15 points and shot 70% from the floor.
Austin Ratliff had a solid performance with nine points and six rebounds. As a team, Hinds shot 51.9 percent from the floor and 68.2 percent from the charity stripe.
Hinds will take a break for the Thanksgiving holiday and will return to action on December 3
rd against Holmes Community College in Goodman. The Battle of the Bulldogs is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
