MONROE, La. – The Hinds Community College Track & Field team wrapped up their regular season on Saturday at the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawk Classic. Multiple Eagles hit a PR at this meet.
On the women's side,
Ritorion Vigne competed in the 100 meters and finished with a time of 11.94.
La'Nica Locker crossed the finish line in the 200 meters at the 23.49 mark, which places her 2
nd in NJCAA in the 200.
Caydence Brewer had a ninth-place finish in the 400 Meters with a time of 58.20.
Lenasia Drummond competed in the 100 Hurdles and concluded the race with an eighth-place finish.
T'Kyla Bennett and
Twyshanna Huie competed in the 400 Hurdles and finished second and third respectively. Additionally, Bennett currently ranks 3
rd in the NJCAA in the 400 Hurdles, while Huie is ranked 4
th in the NJCAA.
On the men's side,
Ajani Daley clocked a time of 10.17 in the 100 Meters, good enough for a second-place finish.
Ayomide Oyetunji was the only Eagle to compete in the 200 Meters and finished with a time of 21.16. He also competed in the 400 Meters and finished the race with a time of 48.97.
Tavon Davis clocked a time of 1:55.47 in the 800 Meters, which was a second-place finish.
R'Khyzon Cleveland finished the 400 Hurdles with a time of 54.46, while the 4x100 Relay team made up of
Ayomide Oyetunji,
Ajani Daley,
Darwin Jiminez, and
Frank Bradley-Reed had a fourth-place finish with a time of 42.14.
Jayden Averhart logged a second place finished in the High Jump with a jump of 2.07m (6'9.5").
Oliver McCrudy competed in the Pole Vault and earned a mark of 4.11m (13'5.75"), while
Kareem Nazim competed in the Pole Vault Invite and jumped 4.71m (15'5.5").
