Lubbock, TXÂ - Hinds Community College Track & Field had a strong showing on Day 1 of the NJCAA Indoor Championships, with several athletes securing spots in Saturday's finals. The Eagles showcased their speed, endurance, and determination, positioning themselves for a big finish on championship day.
For the women's team, Seanna-gaye Leslie advanced in the 60m hurdles, while La'Nica Locker will compete in both the 60m and 200m dashes. Queen Usunobun also earned spots in the 400m and 200m finals, with Twyshanna Huie and Caydence Brewer joining her in the 400m dash. The women's 4x400m relay team will also have a shot at a championship title.
On the men's side, Matthew Sullivan qualified for the 60m hurdles final, while Raheem Pinnock and Jayval Wright each advanced in the 60m dash. Tavon Davis will represent Hinds in the 600m run, and the men's 4x400m relay team will also be competing for a championship.
