RAYMOND, Miss. – Hinds Athletics mourns the passing of Reggie Harris, a standout member of the Hinds Community College football team during the 1985–86 seasons and a 2003 inductee into the Hinds CC Sports Hall of Fame.

As a member of the Hinds Football team, Harris earned several honors, including Most Improved Player in 1986 and Mississippi Junior College All-State in both 1986 and 1987. He was also selected for the Mississippi Junior College All-Star Team, named MVP in football, and recognized as a member of the NJCAA Region XXIII Team.

Reggie dedicated over 35 years to Hinds Community College as a Recruiting Coordinator. His deep passion for serving others also led him to serve as Senior Pastor at Bright Morning Star M.B. Church for more than 20 years.

A public visitation will be held today, May 9, at CJ Williams Mortuary Services in Vicksburg from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a family hour from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church in Vicksburg.
