Box Score UTICA, Miss. - The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team earned its first conference win of the season in convincing fashion, defeating East Central Community College 104–73 at home.
The Bulldogs set the tone early and never looked back, using a balanced offensive attack and relentless pressure to pull away from the Warriors. Hinds led 51–39 at the break before opening the second half with a surge that put the game firmly out of reach.
Austin Ratliff paced Hinds with a game-high 25 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the floor while adding seven rebounds. Daevon Henry provided a major spark off the bench, finishing with 16 points and five rebounds, including a perfect 6-for-6 performance from the free-throw line.
Colain Brown added 18 points and dished out six assists, while Jayden Bowie chipped in 13 points and three steals. Abubakar Cham controlled the paint with 10 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, helping Hinds dominate the boards 41–30.
As a team, Hinds shot an efficient 60.3 percent from the field and knocked down 24 of 30 free throws. The Bulldogs also shared the ball effectively, finishing with 21 assists on 38 made field goals.
Hinds will return to action on Monday, February 2nd against East Mississippi CC inside J.D. Boyd Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
