UTICA, Miss. – Prior to tipoff, Hinds honored its sophomore class for their dedication and contributions to the program. The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team delivered a dominant performance Monday night, defeating Meridian Community College 101-61 to cap off the regular season in impressive fashion.

Hinds wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for 58 first-half points behind tough defense and efficient shooting. The Bulldogs' relentless pace and balanced scoring attack overwhelmed Meridian early and never allowed the Eagles to settle into a rhythm.

The Bulldogs shot an outstanding 59.3 percent from the field and 61.1 percent from beyond the arc, connecting on 11 three-pointers in the win. Hinds also controlled the glass with 38 total rebounds and forced key turnovers that led to transition opportunities throughout the contest.

Jayden Bowie led the charge with a game-high 27 points, knocking down seven three-pointers in a fantastic performance off the bench. Austin Ratliff added 21 points going 8-of-12 in the contest, while Terrance Clark contributed 16 points and six rebounds. Colin Brown orchestrated the offense with eight assists, helping Hinds finish with 24 assists as a team.

Defensively, the Bulldogs were just as sharp. Hinds recorded 18 steals and five blocks, disrupting Meridian's offensive flow from start to finish. The energy and intensity on both ends of the floor reflected a team locked in as postseason play approaches.

With the victory, Hinds officially clinches a spot in the postseason and will advance to the Region 23 Tournament. The Bulldogs will face Holmes Community College on Thursday, March 5, in Goodman at 6:30 p.m.
