RUSTON, La. – Hinds Track& Field hurdler
Matthew Sullivan was named the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week following an incredible performance at the Jim Mize Invitational this past weekend.
Sullivan is the fifth Eagle to be named National Athlete of the Week during the outdoor season, joining the 4x100 relay team. The relay consisted of
Raheem Pinnock of Linstead, Jamaica,
Jayval Wright of Hayes, Jamacia,
Robert Turner of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and
Curtis Coleman of Statesboro, Georgia.
This past weekend, Sullivan delivered a first-place finish in the 110m hurdles, crossing the line in 13.49 to highlight the day.
Hinds Track & Field will return to action on Saturday, April 25
th at the LSU Alumni Gold in Baton Rouge.
