RAYMOND, Miss. – Hinds Community College Freshman kick returner Anthony Loftin has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Special Teams Player of the Week following his outstanding performance in the Eagles' 52-28 victory over East Central Community College on Thursday night.

Loftin provided a game-changing spark in the return game, breaking loose for a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to help fuel the Eagles' conference victory.

The standout returner finished the night with 138 kickoff return yards, averaging an impressive 46.0 yards per return. He also totaled 155 all-purpose yards in the victory, consistently providing Hinds with excellent field position and making an impact throughout the game.

Loftin's explosive performance on special teams played a key role in the Eagles' 52-28 win over East Central, helping Hinds improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in South Division play.

The Eagles will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 1, when they travel to Moorhead to take on Mississippi Delta Community College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
