RAYMOND, Miss. – Hinds Community College quarterback Jaylon Ruffin has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Offensive Player of the Week following his dominant performance in the Eagles' 52-28 victory over East Central Community College on Sophomore Night.

Ruffin delivered an outstanding all-around performance, accounting for six total touchdowns while racking up 385 Total yards to help lead Hinds to a conference victory.

Through the air, Ruffin completed 27-of-33 passes for 303 yards and four touchdowns. He also made an impact with his legs, rushing nine times for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

Ruffin's six total touchdowns and 385 total yards were instrumental in the Eagles' offensive success against East Central, helping Hinds improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in South Division play.

The Eagles will return to action Thursday, Oct. 1, traveling to Moorhead to take on Mississippi Delta Community College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
