COLLEGE: Started 11 games as a freshman. Won 5 games to go along with a 3.41 earned run average. Recorded a team high 70 strikeouts in 58 innings pitched. Threw one complete game on April 2nd against Meridian in which he struck out a season-high 16 batters. Signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Mississippi State University.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years under Terry Bauer at Copiah Academy where he was named to the All-MAIS 1st team twice, the MIAS baseball MVP, an MAIS All-Star, and MAIS Pitcher of the Year. Finished his career hitting .358 and with an ERA of 1.11 on the mound. Also lettered three years in football and was named to All-MAIS 1st Team Defense twice. Was Vice President and, later, President of Mu Alpha Theta and was a member of the National Beta Club.

PERSONAL: Graduated from Copiah Academy in 2018. Son of Scott and Leigh Johnson. Majoring in Chemical Engineering.
