Tracy Lampley enters his second season with the Hinds Community College football program in 2020. Lampley serves as the wide receivers coach.

Lampley comes to Hinds from Petal High School, where he has spent the past three seasons in the same capacity. Lampley helped lead Petal to the south state championship game where they finished runner-up in 2016.

Previously, Lampley coached the wide receivers at Laurel High School. He spent three seasons there and won a state championship, in 2014.

Lampley graduated from Wayne County High School in 2009 before he attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Lampley started all four years at USM both as a running back and a wide receiver.

Lampley also served the special teams unit as the kick returner on kickoffs and punts.  In 2011, he helped lead the Golden Eagles to a Conference USA title and was honored as the game’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).  He finished his collegiate career with 4,759 total yards from scrimmage to go along with 10 touchdowns. He also finished with 847 punt return yards and two punt return touchdowns.
 
Lampley graduated from USM in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in sport coaching education. He played one season with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League before starting his coaching career.

Lampley is currently engaged to LaKenya Seales. He also has two children, Morgan Lampley and Tracy Lampley II.
