Chris Rash

Christopher Rash has been an assistant for the Hinds soccer program since July 2018. Rash was a two-time NJCAA All-American at Hinds in 2003 and 2004 while playing under current head coach Doug Williams. Rash assists Williams in training the players, running practices and recruiting student-athletes to Hinds Community College.
 
Prior to Hinds, Rash served as the head coach for seven seasons at his alma mater, Pearl High School, and experienced an impressive level of success as he won back-to-back Mississippi High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) State Championships in 2014 and 2015. Rash was also awarded the 2014 Coach of the Year Award for the state of Mississippi by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and was selected for the Tour of Champions in 2014 by MaxPreps.
 
In addition to being an All-American while at Hinds, Christopher Rash was named to the All-Region 23 Team in 2003 and 2004, while he also received NJCAA Player of the Week honors in 2004. He was also a part of a Hinds MACJC State Championship and Region 23 Championship in 2004 which was the first region title in more than a decade.
 
Prior to his time as head coach of Pearl High School men’s soccer, Rash spent time as an assistant coach at his alma mater and, before Pearl, at Jackson Academy. While working as an assistant and head coach, Rash operated as the Director of Coaching for the Pearl Youth Soccer League for 10 years and currently holds a position as an Olympic Development Program staff coach for the Mississippi Youth Soccer Association.
 
Rash is a 2009 graduate of Hinds Community College earning his Associate’s Degree in the Applied Science of Early Childhood Education. He also certified with a National D License and a National Youth License by the U.S. Soccer Federation.
