Hanako Kilburn


Hanako Kilburn is in her fifth season as an assistant coach for the Hinds Community College softball program. 
 
Kilburn comes to Hinds from West Virginia University of Technology in Montgomery, W.Va., where she helped lead the Bears to the best record in school history with a 29-16 mark.
 
She was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American scholar-athlete for the 2010-2011 season at Mississippi Valley State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in physical education and recreation.
 
Kilburn transferred to MVSU from Alcorn State University, where she was a part of the 2010 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) champions. At Alcorn, she won the SWAC Commissioner Scholar-Athlete award for the 2010 season.
 
She is a native of Eatonville, Wash., and a graduate of Eatonville High School.
 
Kilburn, who is currently working on her master's degree in athletic administration at Mississippi College, resides in Raymond.
