Andonte M. Gennie is from Tallahassee, Florida. He has been a physical education instructor and high school basketball coach for the past 6 years at Crossroads Academy in Quincy, Florida. Gennie lead Crossroad Academy to its first state tournament in school history in 2019. He has also coached AAU girls basketball for the past 4 summers.

Mr. Gennie graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2007 with a BA in Recreation, Community and Leisure. He played overseas basketball for 6 years in countries such as Germany, Kosovo, Hungary, and Romania prior to returning to the states. After returning to the US he went back to school and completed his master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Secondary Education in 2017.

Basketball brings Mr. Gennie to Hinds Community College. He is excited to be a part of the Bulldog family as the assistant women’s basketball coach.

Outside of basketball Mr. Gennie loves spending time with his 2 beautiful daughters and working with youth.
