Brandon Taylor

Brandon Taylor is the new Hinds Community College women’s basketball head coach for the 2024-2025 season.

Taylor was previously with Tyler Junior College, also spent four years with Grayson College in 
Denison, TX  producing  several All- Conference, All- Region 5 players, 3 NJCAA All-Americans, and 1 WBCA All-American. In his four years, he helped produce WBCA and NJCAA First Team All-American Jane Asinde, All-American Salimatou Kourouma, and also NJCAA All-American Promise Taylor. Taylor also spent time at Eastern Oklahoma State for 8 seasons with producing All-Americans Shola Adeboyo and De’Amber Brice along with several NJCAA All-Academic Team members, and Texas Southern University for 2 seasons. Prior to Texas Southern, Taylor assisted with junior college power Trinity Valley Community College. There he gained strong valuable experience working with a program which boasted four straight years of conference and regional championships. Trinity advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Championship tournaments in 4 straight seasons while Taylor was with the school.

 Taylor is a native of Nacogdoches, Texas and the husband of Rye Taylor. They have 3 children. Aspen(7), Emeric(5), and Phenyx(3).
