Mary Bolton is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Hinds women’s basketball program. She brings with her a wealth of experience at both the collegiate and high school levels, having served as both a head coach and assistant coach at numerous stops.
Her most recent stop was at Pearl River Community College, where she was a part of the Lady Wildcats staff from 2012-2015. Bolton came to Poplarville from a head coaching stint at Millsaps College in Jackson from 2006-2010.
Bolton also served as an assistant collegiate coach at Jackson State University (2005-2006), the University of Southern Mississippi (assistant coach 1997-1998, graduate assistant 1996-97), and Jones County Junior College (assistant coach 1994-95).
She also held head coaching positions in the high school ranks at Perry Central High School (1999-2000) and Heidelberg High School (1994-95).
Bolton, an Associate of Arts degree graduate from Jones County Junior College, was given the Best Defensive Player Award and was selected to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-Star team as a sophomore at JCJC.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and general studies from Nicholls State University and a Master's Degree in educational leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.
