Bulldogs continue torrid pace despite setback on Thursday

The Hinds Community College Bulldogs began South division play on Thursday in Poplarville looking to continue their torrid pace, but could not come away victorious, dropping a 64-55 decision to Pearl River Community College.

The loss does not dampen the great start the Bulldogs have gotten off to, however, as the team is now 6-2 overall and 0-1 in the South.

Matthew Hurn (Meridian) was the lone scorer in double digits on Thursday, as he had 14 points to go along with four rebounds and one steal.

Dela Mayers (Oak Grove, La.) had his best game to date against Pearl River, scoring nine points, pulling down seven rebounds and finishing with one assist.

Hinds will head to Meridian Community College on Monday to face the Eagles of MCC. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
