Lady Eagles fall in season opening matches

The women's tennis team at Hinds Community College fell to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 5-4, on February 10 and 7-2 to Meridian Community College on February 9.

The Lady Eagles dropped to 0-2 and will now look to pick up their first victories of the season on Thursday at Jones County Junior College at 2 p.m.

The individual results vs. Gulf Coast on Feb. 10 are as follows:
#1 Singles – Brittany Weathersby – L, 6-4 & 6-4
#2 Singles – Rachel Rhett – W, 6-4 & 6-2
#3 Singles – Kelly Carlson – W, 6-1 & 6-3
