Women's tennis pushes on despite rainouts

The women's tennis team at Hinds Community College, like most around the country, have been hit with a number of rainouts and weather delays due to the nasty weather around the region.

The Lady Eagles were last in action on February 26 when they fell to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 6-3.

Hinds will compete again after Spring Break, heading to Meridian Community College on March 16.
 
The individual results vs. Gulf Coast on Feb. 26 are as follows:
#1 Singles – Rachel Rhett – L, 4-6, 6-3, (12-10)
#2 Singles – Brittany Weathersby – W, 6-2, 2-6, (10-5)
#3 Singles – Kaitlyn Adcox – L, 6-1 & 6-1
#4 Singles – Kelly Carlson – W, 6-3 & 6-1
#5 Singles – Haley Hicks – L, 6-1 & 6-3
#6 Singles – Aygul Brown – L, 6-0 & 6-1

#1 Doubles – Rhett/Carlson – W, 8-2
#2 Doubles – Weathersby/Hicks – L, 8-0
#3 Doubles – Brown/Adcox – L, 8-0
