Eagles head to MACJC state tournament

The Hinds Community College men's tennis team will compete in the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) state tournament in Perkinston on Wednesday in the event hosted by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

The Eagles are coming off a 6-3 loss to Co-Lin Community College on April 15, an 8-1 loss to Meridian Community College on April 12 and a 9-0 loss at Jones County Junior College on April 7.

The individual results vs. Co-Lin on April 15 are as follows:
#1 Singles – Daniel Yepez – L, 6-1 & 6-2
#2 Singles – Chris Crapps – W, 6-4 & 6-4
#3 Singles – Matthew Burks – L, 6-3 & 6-4
#4 Singles – Landon Young– L, 6-1 & 6-2
#5 Singles – Victor Villarreal – L, 6-0 & 6-1
#6 Singles – Ryan Wheeless – W, 6-4 & 7-5

#1 Doubles –Burks/Yepez – W, 8-5
#2 Doubles –Crapps/Young – L, 8-4
#3 Doubles –Trace Myers/Wheeless– L, 8-3
