Men's tennis to host Jones on Thursday

The men's tennis team at Hinds Community College will return to action on Thursday, hosting Jones County Junior College at 2 p.m. on the Raymond Campus.

The Eagles traveled to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Monday and were shut out by the Bulldogs, 9-0.

Hinds also hosted Northwest Community College on Friday, April 1, but play was suspended due to heavy rains in the Metro area. The Rangers of Northwest were leading, 2-1, when play was suspended.

A make-up date has not been set at this point.

The individual results vs. Gulf Coast on April 4 are as follows:
#1 Singles – Daniel Yepez – L, 6-3 & 6-3
#2 Singles – Chris Crapps – L, 6-1 & 6-0
#3 Singles – Matthew Burks – L, 6-2 & 6-0
#4 Singles – Landon Young– L, 6-2 & 6-0
#5 Singles – Victor Villarreal – L, 6-3 & 6-2
#6 Singles – Ryan Wheeless – L, 6-0 & 6-2

#1 Doubles –Burks/Crapps – L, 8-3
#2 Doubles –Wheeless/Young – L, 8-1
#3 Doubles –Hayden Hendon/Daniel Luck– L, 8-3
