CLINTON- The No. 20 ranked Hinds Community College men's tennis team heftily defeated Jones College 8-1 on the tennis courts of Mississippi College yesterday afternoon (Feb. 20).

No. 15 Carlos Trujillo and Mateo Garcia got the Eagles on the board with an 8-2 victory on court #1 doubles.  Eric Holmes and Drew Rexrode then earned their first regional doubles victory with an 8-3 win on court #3.

The Eagles then swept all six singles matches to solidify the 8-1 victory.

The No. 20 Eagles will be back in action this Friday, February 22 when they take on Copiah-Lincoln Community College on the road in Wesson. The match is set to start at 2 p.m.
