Former Hinds soccer player Morrison Hashii and regional player of the year has signed a contract this month with Albirex Niigata Singapore. 

Hashii, a right-footed forward, joins the Singaporean Premier League team for the 2021 season from Al Hilal United squad.

"It's awesome and outstanding to have a former player at Hinds sign a pro contract anywhere," said Hinds men's soccer coach Doug Williams. 

In 2019, he won Region 23 Player of the Year and has also played professionally with Al Hilal United, United Arab Emirates, and SC Tottori in Japan. Hashii is expected to compete for a roster spot for the SPL regular season later this spring.
