Sophomore guard
Jordan Johnson, of Memphis, totaled a career-high 31 points and eight assists. Sophomore guard
Damerius Wash, of Canton, adding 17 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth career double-double. Sophomore forward
Justyn King, of Plant City, Fla., kicked in 11 points and five rebounds.
"We played well enough to win tonight," head coach
Yusef Fitzgerald said. "
Jordan Johnson and D-Wash had it going tonight. I think our bigs got a raw deal tonight with the whistle. Justyn was able to play despite being in foul trouble. Truthfully, everybody contributed to this win. We had nine out of 11 guys in the scoring column and we defended better than we have been the past few games. We have to stop turning it over so much. We are blessed to be 10-2, a mark that bests our conference win total from last year and I couldn't be more proud of this bunch. The guys are put through a lot here, and it creates a bond that can't be broken. Through it all, we've never turned on each other. My assistants have been marvelous and I put a demand on them that's unfair at times, but they step up to the plate consistently and even keep me in line. To be where we are, from where we've come from is truly a blessing!"
The Bulldogs host Jones College on Friday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. The action will be livestreamed at
